The Business Operations and the "Camden Way"

The Business Operations, we are fully committed to the "Camden Ways of Working".

These are a set of goals and behaviours, listed above, which every Camden worker and department aims to meet, with the overall target of achieving the objectives set out in the 2012 Camden Plan.

Every day our team strives to ensure that our service meets these standards in the following ways:

  • Deliver for the People of Camden By acting as a single point of contact for schools and a single route to market for Camden Camden School Services, we intend to streamline the process schools go through to bring in services, whilst providing a robust quality assurance process to ensure the highest standards. This will help us meet our goal of ensuring that Camden’s schools are the very best in the country by 2020.
  • Work as One Team Our dynamic and motivated team, will ensure co-operation across schools and services, by acting as a single point of contact for all orders and enquiries. This will not only help preserve the relationships built up between schools and services over the years, but also provide an efficient tool to ensure that both schools and Camden services have access to the same level of support.
  • Take Pride in Getting it Right This web service is the end product of many months of hard work by Camden ICT and the Business Unit, working in conjunction with both schools and Camden School Services. It will be constantly managed to ensure a smooth ordering process, whilst giving the chance for schools and services to feed back on their experiences – ensuring that we will strive to maintain a high standard of service.
  • Find Better Ways We will continue developing our service in line with our customers’ feedback and changing requirements to ensure that our customers receive cutting edge support. We view the new Camden School Services website as a better way to manage all service level agreements by Camden schools through a single platform. We will keep looking for innovative ways to ensure we provide a coordinated and streamlined customer experience, backed with quality assurance procedures.
  • Take a Lead Our goal is to incorporate best practices from Camden and other local authorities as well as from the private sector to ensure an efficient single point of contact for Camden Schools. The Camden School Services website serves as an example of how Camden takes the lead in developing new ideas and processes to deliver the very best value to our schools.
