QUALITY ASSURED SAFEGUARDING PROCESSES

Safeguarding consultancy will be delivered in collaboration with school leaders to ensure practice, systems and structures meet Camden standards, Ofsted criteria and are effective in keeping children safe.

Whole school reviews and audits are offered by members of the learning and improvement team. This might include a specific focus for the school. The preferred model is to carry out agreed programme with and involving school leaders and governors.

• Highlight best practice and identify any areas that might require further attention.
• Consider staff awareness of safeguarding issues, including their confidence in implementing school policy and procedures
• Evaluate how the school addresses safety and ‘keeping children safe’ on a day to day basis

• Observe pupils’ learning behaviours, including engagement and confidence as learners

Helping schools keep pupils safe from abuse, exploitation, FGM and all forms of bullying including online and prejudice-based language

Our support to schools focuses on developing the curriculum and increasing the confidence of staff to teach about some of the key safeguarding priorities and how to tackle and manage sensitive issues in the classroom, including FGM, domestic violence and abuse, child sexual exploitation, bullying and relationship abuse.
Our support is enhanced and informed by current data, information, research and practice in schools with links to external organisations.
