Camden Schools Achieve Healthy Schools London Award!

Camden Schools Achieve Healthy Schools London Award!

Camden Schools Achieve Healthy Schools London Award!

24 May 2016

Congratulations to Christopher Hatton, Emmanuel, Kingsgate, Primrose Hill, Rhyl, Rosary and Torriano Primary who have recently achieved the Healthy Schools London Silver Award!
These schools join Carlton, Christ Church (NW1) and St George the Martyr who have also been recognised as silver schools.

These schools have identified health and wellbeing outcomes (one universal and one targeted) such as increasing fruit and vegetable consumption, increasing participation of girls in extracurricular sport and reducing crisps and fizzy drinks consumption, and developed action plans to achieve these outcomes.

We look forward to helping these schools gain the Gold Award!

Congratulations also to Christ Church (NW1), Emmanuel, Richard Cobden and St George the Martyr who have recently renewed their recognition as Camden Healthy Schools.

There are now 32 Camden schools recognised as Healthy Schools with a further 11 schools in the process of renewing the recognition. This is a fantastic achievement demonstrating the huge commitment by schools to supporting children and young people’s health and wellbeing

If you would like to renew your healthy school recognition or, if you are a school that has an up to date healthy school recognition and would like to apply for the silver award, please contact chrisssie.dillon@camden.gov.uk
