Action Potential: Exploring the Neuron’ - Contemporary Art and Science Exchange

· Free workshops for Year 3 now open to Year 4 classes at Swiss Cottage Central Library.

We now only have four workshops still available, which will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. The aim is to introduce pupils to brain cells and how they work, as well as profiling the work of a professional scientist.

Action Potential: Exploring the Neuron is a six-week exhibition at Swiss Cottage Central Library. It will profile neurons and the research work currently undertaken by Dr Arnaud Ruiz at University College London. This exhibition is organised by arts workers with over 20 years’ experience of working on Camden projects.

We will be running free, 45-minute workshops for Year 3 or Year 4 pupils in Camden primary schools, available until 4 March 2016 (see also flyer attached below). These workshops will be followed by a break of up to half an hour, allowing the schoolchildren to further explore the exhibition. The sessions will also include:

· - a short film presented by Dr Ruiz

· - an activities booklet for all participants

· - other activities and games.

For further information and to book a workshop please contact Steve Roper at caseartandscience@gmail.com

This activity is supported by The Big Lottery Fund.
