Schools Workforce Census - Returns outstanding!

01 Dec 2015

Thank you to the overwhelming majority of Camden Schools who have completed their school workforce census returns. The annual School Workforce Census for 2015 was on Thursday 5 November and the submission deadline for returns should have been uploaded to COLLECT on Friday the 20th November.

However, there still a small number of schools who yet to complete this activity. The school workforce census is a statutory activity; for which a state funded school must complete a return. This includes local authority maintained schools, academies, free schools, studio schools, university technical colleges (UTCs) and pupil referral units (PRUs). The DfE are now sending reminders to LAs and other employers to complete the process.

Returns need to be submitted directly by the Schools via COLLECT. The HRMI team within HR cannot submit a return from a school of their behalf as the system expects Schools to directly upload them.

If Schools do not have login details for the site then they will need to contact Mark Griffin who is Camden’s Contact Liaison Officer and is able to set up accounts. Mark can be contacted via: Mark.Griffin@camden.gov.uk or 020 7974 4543.

In regards to data; with the exception of sickness data; Schools should enter in all the attendance data requested. If Schools have queries about the actual content of the SWF census (i.e. what information is required and where to find it) or any errors they are receiving upon upload to COLLECT then they need to contact Camden HR by e-mailing hrmi@camden.gov.uk.
