A half a day session on the Schools Model Parental Support Leave Policy & Procedure, which incorporates the Shared Parental Leave provisions. This session will cover a brief Employment Law context and walking you through the forms and documentation that have been devised. It will take place at 5 Pancras Square on Tuesday 10th November, commencing at 10.00am planning to end at about 1.30pm .

Anti-Fraud Awareness training will take place on Wednesday the 18th and Thursday 19th of November at 5 Pancras Square, commencing at 10.30am and finishing at around 1.00pm. The event should last a little over 3 hours in duration and will be delivered by the Metropolitan Police. Spaces are limited to 20 participants per session. This event is specifically for individuals who are the main points of contact for DBS / new starter applications within their schools and centres. The sessions will provide specific guidance on how to detect fraudulent documents and raise awareness of suspicious activity.

On the 1st December we will be running a half-day session on Organisational Design and Change at the TDS, Crowndale Conference Centre starting at 1.00pm, aiming to finish around 4.00pm

As previously advised in response to past feedback, we are going to allocate 20 minutes at the end of the events on the 10th November and 1st December where we have an open question and answer session. Participants can ask any question you wish relating to the areas we support whether it relates to health and safety, payroll, HR advice or employment law. A member of those staff from teams will be present to ask the queries and if it can’t be answered on the spot they will get back to you following the event with an answer

If you haven’t already booked a place, please email hrschoolsevents@camden.gov.uk. If you are a school not taking our SLA services you can still if you wish reserve a place on the events on the 10th November and 1st December through the website for which there will be a charge (£125 per place). If you want to attend one of the Anti-Fraud sessions and are not the SLA a small admin handling charge of £20 will be applied.
