As part of Camden’s smarter working programme we have been developing Oracle – the new HR, finance and procurement system.  The HR and recruitment aspects of the system will launch first on Wednesday 26 July.

In May HR colleagues provided a short demonstration and overview of what the new system means for schools at the termly HR briefing, and in June at the Primary and Secondary Bursar Forums. Schools provided useful feedback on the proposed approach to implementing these changes. As a result of this there have been some changes to the roll out and schools usage of new system functions by schools, which will now be phased.

A number of schools were keen to pilot some of the wider functionality of the system ahead of it being extended to other schools. This includes the new ‘Timekeeper’ role, where a schools administrator enters sickness and overtime.  We are also exploring offering interested schools self-service access for all staff in the future.

Please find attached your pre-‘go-live’ information pack that gives further details of the changes. Step-by-step system user guides will also be made available and we are also delivering training sessions to schools during August (where school staff are available) and September.  These will take place at school sites.
