Camden Adult Community Learning - Choices & Opportunities Day (11th July)

Camden Adult Community Learning - Choices & Opportunities Day (11th July)

05 Jul 2017

The event is for Camden residents including parents

Camden Adult Community Learning’s Choices and Opportunities Day, will be taking place at Working Men’s College on 11th July (9.30am -1pm).   We believe that parents at your school will benefit greatly from this event, so we would be grateful if you could please publicise this event in your school newsletter and on the school website.

The event aims to provide adults 19+ with information and advice about learning, training, employment and volunteering opportunities in Camden and the support services that can help them access those opportunities. We are targeting adults with low skills who may have been out of education or employment for a while and would benefit from our support to move forward.

Nineteen organisations have signed up to have a stand (see back of attached flyer)

Stands will be organised in zones:

  • Further learning (staff from 3 Camden colleges and a range of adult learning providers)
  • Employment – e.g. Kings Cross Recruit
  • Information, Advice and Guidance (6 different organisations including Hopscotch, Women Like us, West Euston Partnership)
  • Volunteering
  • Support Services

People will be met by an adviser and directed to a particular zone / stand based on their interests.
