Getting children walking from a young age is an investment for life, creating good habits for an active life as an adult. Working with Public Health Camden, we are about to launch a campaign to encourage residents, both young and old, to become more active through walking.

As part of the campaign we are encouraging schools to become more active through The Daily Mile. Currently taking place in five Camden primary schools, it involves every child in school spending 15 minutes a day running, jogging or walking outdoors on top of their regular PE lessons. It’s easy to implement and fun to do.

The aim of the Daily Mile is to improve the physical, emotional and social health and wellbeing of all children, regardless of age or personal circumstances. For more information visit http://thedailymile.co.uk/
