Healthy Schools London Silver Award

Healthy Schools London Silver Award

Healthy Schools London Silver Award

22 Nov 2016

More Camden schools achieve the Healthy Schools London SILVER Award. Congratulations!

Congratulations to Kentish Town and St Joseph’s who have achieved the Healthy Schools London Silver Award this term. 15 Camden Schools have now achieved the Silver Award and a further 3 schools are currently developing their action plans to apply for the award which is great news!

St Joseph’s have prioritised improving fitness levels of Year 3 and Year 5 pupils and increasing the amount of fruit and vegetables eaten by pupils who have packed lunches. Kentish Town are also prioritising fruit and vegetables in packed lunches and will also be working to increase the number of high quality healthy cooking opportunities for all their pupils. This work will have a significant impact on the health and wellbeing of their pupils and we are delighted to be able to support these schools to help achieve their outcomes.

Congratulations to all our schools for their hard work and commitment to health and wellbeing
.

All schools that are recognised by Camden as Healthy Schools are eligible to apply for the Healthy Schools London Silver Award so if you would like free support to help identify two health and wellbeing outcomes (one universal and one targeted) and develop an action plan then please don’t hesitate to contact Gill (Gill.Morris@camden.gov.uk) or Chrissie (Chrissie.dillon@camden.gov.uk).
