Aspiring Leaders programme 2016-17

14 Nov 2016

The ‘Leaders for London ‘17’ programme gives Senior Leaders access to a range of supportive and influential networks, towards the development of overall readiness to run a school.

This opportunity is for those who consider themselves to be within 18 months of Headship, including those who may already hold the NPQH or NPQSL, and those looking for deeper, more reflective leadership learning.

In addition to the nine sessions, participants have access to 1:1 mentoring, from an experienced Head Teacher throughout the year, and additional optional sessions on various focussed areas of school leadership. Other features of the programme include opportunities to visit other schools, and guidance with a data driven project, which supports skills for maintaining accountability.

A participant last year said:

“The programme was very supportive in the development of me taking on my current headship. The key areas of the programme were the links it created for me with other colleagues and a head teacher mentor. Listening and talking to people who were in a similar position to me was very beneficial as well as talking through ideas and getting support for the headteacher interview from my mentor.”
