Camden subscribes to an employee assistance programme (EAP), provided by an organisation called Workplace Options. This is a service for all employees, extending to staff in community schools up until 31 August 2016, when the service can still be provided but there will be a charge. Other school types voluntary aided, foundation, academies and free schools can opt to purchase the EAP if they wish, details of the cost can be found here

Workplace Options provides practical information, resources and counselling to help employees balance work, family and personal life. Any time of day, employees can contact an EAP professional for support, including telephone information, fact sheets, information packs and face to face counselling. The service is staffed by a team of highly qualified professionals who are experts in fields such as well-being, family matters, relationships, debt management, consumer rights and much more.

School staff can have access to the Workplace Options website (username and password supplied on request from Kevin Collins, Schools HR Business Partner. The website contains lots of useful lifestyle information and allows you to chat with a counsellor over the web if you prefer that to the telephone or face to face.

•Information and resources on a whole range of work, family and personal issues.

Details of the Eye Test and Glasses Scheme, as part of the employee wellbeing scheme Camden is working in partnership with Specsavers to offer employees an opportunity of a free eye test. This extends to staff in community schools.
