The numbers of obese children continue to be higher in Camden than in England overall; 21% of Year 6 compared with 19.1% and 10.1 of reception children compared with 9.5%

Helping schools improve eating habits and physical activity levels for children and young people

Being overweight or obese in childhood can have significant physical and emotional health consequences in both the short and longer term.
Schools are in a unique position to ensure that children and young people have the knowledge and skills to live healthy lifestyles and have access to healthy food and a wide range of opportunities for physical activity

The Benefits:

• The majority of our consultancy and support is fully funded for Camden schools unless indicated otherwise.

Support is provided by Health Improvement Practitioners and a primary PE Consultant from the Health and Wellbeing Team within the Learning, School Improvement and Partnership Team

This offer is fully funded for Camden Maintained Schools, costs for non Camden or Independent Schools available on request.
